Piilkani Employment Services is planning to develop a number of programs. The proposed programs are: Þ Entrepreneur/Hospitality Services April - May 2008 Þ Carpentry & Plumbing August 2008 - March 2009 Þ Heavy Equipment June - October 2008 These programs are designed to provide participants with the necessary trade/industry and job readiness skills to assist participants in obtaining long-term employment in the local areas. Typically our programs include the following: · Personal/Transitional Insights · Critical Trade and Industrial Learning · Core Training: Curriculum as developed by an Accredited Training Institute · Experience to Develop Work Ethics
Pre-requisites: Þ Able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs) for trades training Þ Willing to either commute or relocate for employment Þ In good standing with Piikani Employment Services Þ Valid driver’s license Þ Must be able to read/comprehend at a grade 10 level
Be Prepared To: Þ Comply with drug testing Þ Complete assessment tests Þ Willing to participate in all aspects of the training program
Call Dates To run any of the above programs, we require at least 15 serious applicants per program. If we do not have enough interest then we will NOT run the program. The call dates are set to help us determine if there is interest in any or all of the programs. Callers will be allowed to register for only 1 program.
